How Our Group Works

To ensure the safety of all our members—particularly our juniors—and to keep the information clear and professional, the MPB WhatsApp group operates under the following rules:

  1. Broadcast Only: The 'Chat' function is disabled. This is a one-way information channel from the Committee to you. This prevents 'notification fatigue' and ensures key info doesn’t get lost in a long conversation.

  2. Child Safeguarding: In line with the Victorian Child Safe Standards and our own Safeguarding Policy, this group is moderated to ensure a safe digital environment.

  3. No Solicitation: We do not allow external advertising or private solicitation within our club


For Parents and Guardians "We welcome our junior players to stay informed via WhatsApp; however, safety is our priority. By allowing your child to join the MPB WhatsApp group, you are providing consent for them to receive one-way communications from the club.

Please ensure you have read our [Digital Communication & Safeguarding Policy] (PDF Link) before your child joins. We recommend that a parent or guardian also joins the group to stay across the same information."
